Based On Your Answers You Show...

Low Levels of People Pleasing.

You’ve done a lot of work to shake off people-pleasing, and it shows. You make decisions based on what’s right for you, you set boundaries without spiralling into guilt, and your confidence? It’s solid.

But here’s the thing—just because you’ve moved past the worst of it doesn’t mean people-pleasing has fully disappeared. It can still sneak in when you least expect it. Maybe it happens when you’re around certain people. Maybe you still feel a pull to avoid conflict, even if you don’t actually go along with things anymore. Maybe you catch yourself filtering your words in situations where you don’t need to.

That’s because people-pleasing isn’t just about saying yes—it’s also about how much space you allow yourself to take up. And even when you’ve built confidence, old instincts can still pop up.

You’ve already done the heavy lifting, so now it’s about making sure nothing sneaks back in.

You’re solid in your confidence, and people-pleasing doesn’t define you anymore. You’ve got strong boundaries, a clear sense of self, and the ability to prioritise your own needs. But even when you’re past the worst of it, old habits can still sneak in.

The three shifts below are designed to help you catch those last remaining people-pleasing patterns—the ones that only show up in certain situations—so that your confidence stays completely unstoppable.

Where to focus next?

1. The "Own It" List

When people-pleasing has been a lifelong habit, it's easy to overlook the progress you've made. Your brain is wired to focus on what still needs improving instead of what you've already changed. This exercise will help rewire that.

Try this: Write down 10 moments when you put yourself first - times when you spoke your mind instead of holding back, did what you wanted instead of what was expected, or took time for yourself without guilt. Keep this list somewhere visible or easy to hand - stick it up on the wall, keep it in your journal or phone notes.

Keeping this list in your mind creates the evidence of how far you've come and that you do know how to stop people pleasing - it's now just about reinforcing it.

Even when you've put your boundaries in places, some will feel harder to enforce. Maybe it's certain people, certain situations, or moments where guilt still creeps in.

Try this: For the next 7 days, do a boundary check-in every evening and journal on these questions: Did I hold my boundaries today? Where did I let something slide? What made it hard? What will I do differently next time?

Recognising these patterns is the key to reinforcing them where it matters most.

2. Complete a Boundary Check In

3. Expand Your Yes

Breaking free from people-pleasing isn't just about saying no - it's also about saying YES to yourself. When you're used to prioritising others, doing things purely for your own benefit can feel uncomfortable. That stops here.

Try this: For the next 7 days, say yes to something that serves you every day. Say yes to resting instead of pushing through, Say yes to something you want to do, even if it doen't benefit everyone else. Say yes to asking for support instead of doing everything alone.

The more your actively choose yourself, the more natural it becomes.

You’ve already broken free from most of your people-pleasing patterns. You probably set boundaries, make decisions based on what's right for you, and no longer feel like you need to keep everyone happy. But certain situations still bring up that old hesitation - whether it's speaking up in a group, feeling the pull to avoid conflict, or softening your words to make things easier for others.

This isn't about fixing anything - it's about making sure your confidence stays unstoppable.
